Installation without the whole package

Not every garage needs a full transformation. Sometimes the layout is fine and the problem is simply that there is nowhere to put anything — no shelving on the walls, nothing overhead, and bikes and tools on the floor because they have no mount.

This is that job on its own. We supply and install wall shelving, overhead ceiling racks, bike and equipment mounts and tool rails, priced per unit, without asking you to book a cleanout or an organizing package first. If you would rather have the whole garage sorted and zoned at the same time, that is The Pack Organizer or The Alpha Transformation — but you do not have to.

Wall shelving

Wall shelving is the highest-value square footage in a garage, because it uses space that is otherwise doing nothing. Heavy-duty floating or bracketed sections go in at a height chosen around what you are storing and who needs to reach it — bins and seasonal storage higher, frequently used items at hand height.

Shelving needs to land on studs or suitable backing. In newer construction that is straightforward. In older Jacksonville and St. Augustine homes, framing is less predictable, so we locate and verify before mounting rather than assuming standard spacing.

Overhead & ceiling racks

Overhead racks are 4×8 platforms mounted into ceiling joists, and they are the single biggest capacity gain available in most garages — a genuinely unused plane, directly above space you already own.

They also have the most constraints. A rack has to clear the garage door track and the opener through the door’s full travel, not just when it is closed. It has to mount into joists that can carry the load. And ceiling height has to leave usable clearance underneath, which in a garage with a low ceiling or a mid-mount opener sometimes means fewer racks than you were hoping for, positioned differently.

We check door travel, joist direction and clearance at the free estimate and tell you honestly what the ceiling will take. If the answer is two racks rather than four, we would rather say so before you are committed.

Bike, tool and equipment mounts

Bikes are the most common floor-space problem we see, and the cheapest to solve — a wall or floor mount per bike at $49 including the mount clears an entire corner. Lawn and tool rail systems do the same for rakes, blowers, trimmers and shovels, which otherwise fall over constantly and take up more room lying down than hanging up.

Slatwall, pegboard, hooks and cabinet installation fall under the same service. These are usually combined — a wall section that carries shelving above and a tool rail below uses one run of wall twice.

Placement matters in this climate

Where storage goes matters as much as how much of it there is. Northeast Florida’s humidity, combined with a garage that swings from hot afternoons to cool nights, puts condensation on metal — which is why tools and hardware corrode in garages that have never taken a drop of rain.

Practically: the coolest, driest wall is worth reserving for tools and anything corrodible, rather than filling it with whatever is carried in first. Bulk plastic bins tolerate the hotter ceiling space far better. Within a few miles of the Atlantic, in Ponte Vedra Beach and Atlantic Beach, that matters more again, and hardware choice matters alongside placement.

Good to know

Before we mount anything

Installation requires suitable structural support and safe mounting locations. We verify framing, joist direction, ceiling clearance and garage-door travel at the free on-site estimate. Installation into unsuitable or damaged surfaces is not included.

Electrical relocation, construction, drywall repair and hazardous-material removal are outside what we do. If your project needs one of those first, we will say so rather than working around it.

Quantities and final pricing are confirmed in writing before installation begins. Nothing gets mounted until you have approved the scope.

Questions

Installation questions

Yes. That is what this service is. Shelving, racks and mounts are priced per unit and can be installed on their own, with no cleanout or organizing package required.

Usually, but it depends on ceiling height, joist direction and clearance around the garage door track and opener through its full travel. We check all of that at the free estimate and tell you how many racks the ceiling will actually take, which is sometimes fewer than people expect.

Yes. You can buy your own hardware and pay us for installation only, or we can supply it at the listed prices with the hardware included. Tell us which at the estimate and we will price accordingly.

That depends on the specific rack and, more importantly, on the joists it is mounted into. We size the recommendation to the structure rather than to the rack manufacturer's maximum, and we will tell you what your ceiling supports.

Not necessarily — we work around what is there. If floor space has to be cleared to reach a wall, additional haul-away loads are $75 each, or you can book a full Cub Clean-Out instead.
